In its unmistakeable bottle, Titulus remains Fazi Battaglia’s iconic wine.
Few bottles in the world are inextricably linked to the wine they contain like the “Anfora Titulus” of the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi. Fazi Battaglia’s amphora has managed to retain its characteristics over the years: curvy shape, emerald-green colour and scroll. It is still rolled up and tied by hand today, which illustrates Fazi Battaglia’s spirit: midway between craftsmanship and innovation.
With the 2015 vintage, the idea came about to promote the identity of this wine with a new launch aimed at returning prestige to what is not only the most famous Verdicchio in the world, but also an icon of Italian style.
Today Titulus Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico DOC has been joined by two new wines, also bottled in the amphora, but in a more modern interpretation using white glass: Passerina Marche IGT, a native grape from Marche which is enjoying huge success among more attentive consumers, and the Rosato, made with Montepulciano grapes grown in the hillside vineyards of Cupramontana.
